SUBJECT: Proposed new full time administrative position, School of Law





DESCRIPTION:



The Dean of the School of Law has proposed a new full-time administrative position, Assistant Director of Alumni Affairs and Events, be established. The Human Resources Office has reviewed the position description, and concurs with the recommendation the position be administrative. The Assistant Director is responsible to the Director of Development for implementing strategies for alumni affairs and related public affairs programs to maximize financial and volunteer support for the School of Law, and assist in coordination with the development and alumni relations efforts. The Assistant Director will increase involvement of alumni, friends, corporations and law firms.





FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:



No additional funding is necessary: funds exist within the School of Law.





RECOMMENDATION:



President Farley recommends the Board of Regents approve the new position, Assistant Director of Alumni Affairs and Events, with a salary range of $32,000 - $35,000.
