Faculty Personnel



DESCRIPTION:



Since the July Board of Regents meeting, some unforeseen changes to faculty appointments have been required to meet teaching obligations for the fall semester. These adjustments and appointments begin with the Fall Semester 2000. Interim approval was received from the Chair of the Board for the following:



Change William Gahnstrom from 3/4 time to full-time contract, as Lecturer in the Mathematics Department effective Fall 2000.



Change Evelyn Pitts from 3/4 time to full-time contract, as Instructor in the Mathematics Department effective Fall 2000.



Hire Debra Isaacson on a non-tenure track, one year (renewable up to three years) contract, as Lecturer in the School of Nursing, effective Fall 2000.



Change David Weed from 3/4 time to full-time contract for the 2000 academic year, as Instructor in the English Department effective Fall 2000.



Request for an unpaid leave of absence, Fall semester 2000, for Nancy Sheley to complete her doctoral degree.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:



William Gahnstrom annual salary will be 19,656.00 from budget line item #22500-19-2 and $10,000.00 from budget line item #15600-08-2.



Evelyn Pitts annual salary will be $20,808.00 from budget line item #22500-18-2 and $10,000.00 from budget line item #15600-08-2.



Debra Isaacson annual salary will be $12,600.00 from budget line item #33000-19-2, and $22,440.00 from vacant budget line #33000-03-2.



David Weed annual salary will be $19,440.00 from budget line item #19500-19-2, and $11,004.00 from line #19500-14-2.



RECOMMENDATION:



President Farley recommends that the Board ratify the interim approval of this faculty personnel request.
