SUBJECT: Garvey Theatre Roof Replacement
DESCRIPTION:
Bids were received on August 28, 2000 for replacement of the roof on the Theatre of the Garvey Fine Arts Center Building. This project was included as part of the FY 00-01 Capital Improvement Budget and is to replace the deteriorated 30 year old roof. Two bids were received. They are:

B & K Management
dba / Weathercraft Roofing of Topeka $88,558.00
Vincent Roofing, Inc. $66,400.00
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
$70,000 has been allocated for this project in the Capital Improvement Account 03-00302. The expenditure of $66,400 will result in $3,600 being added to the Capital Improvement Contingency Account.
RECOMMENDATION:
President Farley recommends Board of Regents approval to award the contract to Vincent Roofing, Inc. for roof replacement on the Theatre of the Garvey Fine Arts Building in the amount of $66,400.
