SUBJECT: PROPOSAL FOR CERTIFICATE IN NON-PROFIT MANAGEMENT
There is a proposal for a cross-college cooperative certificate program in Non-Profit Management with two options. The first option is for majors in either Public Administration or Human Services. The second option allows students with virtually any major in the University to complete the certificate.
No new courses are added and no changes in major requirements are proposed. It is essentially an internal re-arrangement of existing courses, to create a special certificate program in a cross-department, cross-school cooperative basis. It requires no new staffing and no new library resources.
The University Council aproved the proposal on May 11, 2000. The General Faculty approved the proposal September 15, 2000.
No additional funding required.
President Farley recommends Board of Regents approval for the Certificate in Non-Profit Management.
