SUBJECT: Proposed Residence Hall and Board Plan Contract Rates for FY 2001-2002

DESCRIPTION: At the March 2000 meeting of the Board of Regents, room and board rates were increased approximately 2.7%. Room rates were raised minimally (1.5%), in anticipation that there would be a significant change in 2001 with the opening of the Living Learning Center.

Because of the opening of the new facility, there is increased demand to know the room and board rates for 2001-2002 for marketing purposes as well as for the Athletic Department to begin calculations for scholarships; thus, the request for rate approval in November.
