SUBJECT: Payment of Invoice for Printing of Law School Catalog

DESCRIPTION: On February 17 19, 1999, the Law School hired Peter Winograd of Albuquerque, NM as a consultant to evaluate student recruiting efforts. As part of his report, he suggested several changes to the Law School Catalog. In the Spring of 1999, the Law School hired Jones Seel Huyett to design the new Law School Catalog. Jones Seel Huyett provided the layout and artwork, and agreed to bid the printing of the catalog.

Based on the bids presented by Jones Seel Huyett, Sun Graphics of Parsons, Kansas was selected to print the catalog. The total bid of Sun Graphics was $28,199.00. However, due to an increase in the number of pages in the final copy, the total cost from Sun Graphics is $34,471.00.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:

Funds are available to pay for the printing from the following accounts:

01-70030 Law School Catalog $10,000.00

01-32560 Continuing Legal Education 10,000.00

01-32526 Recruitment ` 4,234.00

08-87040 Dean's Fund 10,237.00

Total $34,471.00

RECOMMENDATION:

President Farley recommends payment to Sun Graphics of Parsons Kansas in the amount of $34,471.00 for the printing of the Law School Catalog.
