SUBJECT: Replacement of roof shingles on Whiting Fieldhouse

DESCRIPTION:

Bids were received on October 12, 1999 for replacement of roof shingles on Whiting Fieldhouse. This project was included as part of the FY 99-00 Capital Improvement Budget and is to replace the 20 year old roof that is in deteriorated condition. Three bids were received. They were as follows:

Base Bid

B & K Management, Inc.

d/b/a Weathercraft Co. of Topeka $33,900.00

Guilfoyle Roofing $37,500.00

Vincent Roofing, Inc. $61,875.00

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:

Expenditure of $33,900.00 from Capital Improvement Account 03-00302.

RECOMMENDATION:

President Farley recommends the Board of Regents approve award of a contract to Weathercraft Co. of Topeka for $33,900.00 for replacement of roof shingles on Whiting Fieldhouse.
