SUBJECT: Replace Ceiling /Lights in Corridors of Henderson Learning

Resource Center

DESCRIPTION: This project is part of the Capital Improvement budget and is to replace the ceiling in the corridors of Henderson Learning Resource Center. The present ceiling is deteriorated and is of a type that does not allow access for data cabling and other work needed above the ceiling. New energy efficient lights will also be installed.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: Expenditure of $ 93,956 from the $104,650 allocated to this project in Capital Improvement account 03-00302.

RECOMMENDATION: President Farley recommends the Board of Regents approve the Award of Contract to Kansas Building Systems for $66,000, Davin Electric, Inc. for $21,250 and SAMCO, Inc. for $6,706 to complete the replacement of ceiling and lights in the corridors of Henderson Learning Resource Center.
