DESCRIPTION: Bids were received for Modification and Replacement of Fire Alarm System in seven campus buildings (Bennett, Carnegie, Garvey, Henderson, Mabee, Morgan, and Stoffer) and totaled $688,090. Capital Improvement funds of $203,000 were budgeted in FY98 to begin this project.
Since the total project cost exceeds the funds allocated, the following buildings will be completed this fiscal year:

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Expenditure of $128,445 from Capital Improvement Account 03-00302. The balance allocated of $74,555 will be carried forward to complete the project in FY00-01.
RECOMMENDATION:
President Farley recommends the Board of Regents approve award of contracts to Davin Electric for $55,900 and Simplex Time Records for $72,545 to make Modification and Replacement of Fire Alarm Systems in Carnegie, Mabee, and Bennett.
