SUBJECT: Faculty Personnel

DESCRIPTION:

Hire Ron Zastrow as a full time lecturer for the Spring 2000 semester only in the Theater Department.

Dr. Yuehua Zhang, Assistant Professor in Education, requests a one year unpaid leave of absence for the 2000-2001 academic year to help initiate curricula in both Chinese language instruction and technology instruction at the Concordia International School Shanghai. This leave of absence will suspend her tenure process for that year.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:

Zastrow's one semester salary of $9,000 will come from budget line #12600-05-2.

There are no financial implications relating to Dr. Zhang's requested unpaid leave of absence.

RECOMMENDATION:

President Farley recommends that the Board approve these faculty personnel requests.
