SUBJECT: Telephone Switch Maintenance Contract

DESCRIPTION:

The annual maintenance contract expires December 29, 1999. A price quotation was requested from two area companies that service the Hitachi HCX 5500. This agreement covers parts and labor for not only the switch, but also the proprietary, digital telephone sets.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:

The low quotation is $27,600, which is a decrease of $540 from the current contract amount. This amount is within budget.

RECOMMENDATION:

President Farley recommends that the Board approve the award of the one-year contract to American Telephone, Inc. for the amount of $27,600 to be effective December 30, 1999.
