SUBJECT: FY2000 Operating Budget Discussion

DESCRIPTION:

At the February 10, 1998 meeting of the Board of Regents, the Board will be presented a set of proposed guidelines for the FY2000 operating budget. To prepare for that meeting, an Executive Overview of various budget and financial data has been prepared by the Vice President for Administration and Treasurer. This overview will include 1) a general overview of the types of funding that support the mission of the University; 2) an overview of the General Fund focusing on revenues by source, expenditures by function and object, internal reallocations, and budget increase factors; and 3) a schedule of the events that must happen to build the annual operating budget.
