SUBJECT: Faculty Personnel

DESCRIPTION:

Change Dr. Richard Moellenberndt, School of Business, from full-time faculty position to half-time faculty position for the Spring 1999 semester.

/Effective November 1, 1998 through June 30, 1999, make Dr. Robert Dunwell acting chair of the Department of Education to replace the deceased Dr. Dave Van Cleaf.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:

Moellenberndt's basic annual salary will change from $69,636 as a full-time contract to $52,227 as a three-quarter time contract. (A full-time salary for the first semester and a half-time salary for second semester equals an annualized three-quarter contract.)

Increase Dr. Dunwell's contract to 12-months and increase base salary from $66,900 to $81,768, pro-rated for the period of the new contract, for a total salary for 1998-99 of $73,215. Funds for increase will come from Van Cleaf's position line #17500-01-2.

RECOMMENDATION:

President Farley recommends that the Board approve the above faculty personnel changes.
