SUBJECT: Faculty Personnel
DESCRIPTION:
At the end of the spring semester, 1999, Professor Don Boyer will retire as Professor of Biology after 41 years of service to Washburn University. Through his long and distinguished career, Dr. Boyer has remained current with the material and always presented clearly organized and academically sound classes. His contribution and development of Biology 202 - Biology of Behavior - is especially noteworthy. Dr. Boyer received National Institute of Health Research grants for eight consecutive years. A very significant accomplishment.
In recognition of his long and distinguished career, his active role as a researcher in his field, of his tireless efforts on behalf of students, his record of forty-one years of contributions to the Department of Biology and Washburn University.

RECOMMENDATION:
President Farley recommends that the Board honor Dr. Boyer with the title, Professor Emeritus.
