SUBJECT: Quarterly Financial Report as of December 31, 1998
The Quarterly Financial Report (QFR) for the quarter ending December 31, 1998 will be presented to the Regents. This report focuses on the University's operating budget for the first six months of the fiscal year and provides comparisons of actual results to budget and to last year's actual as of December 31. The QFR replaces the semi-annual Budget Status Reports for the General Fund that the Regents had received in the past. The QFR will be prepared for the quarters ending September 30, December 31, and March 31. The Treasurer's Annual Financial Report will substitute for the June 30 QFR.
(NOTE: The QFR does not accompany this agenda item due to the agenda item being prepared prior to the end of the second quarter. It takes 5-7 working days to prepare the QFR after the close of the quarter. The QFR will be distributed to the Regents at the Board Meeting and the Vice President for Administration and Treasurer will summarize the highlights of the report.)
