SUBJECT: Naming of the Stauffer Mass Media Lab

DESCRIPTION:

Through the leadership of John and Kathy Stauffer, a mass media laboratory was created in Henderson Learning Resources Center Room 7. This lab is equipped with 18 Macintosh computers, a scanner, and laser printer. The lab is designed to allow students to experience writing classes in a technological environment appropriate to the publishing industry.

The Mass Media Department has requested that the lab be named the "Stauffer Mass Media Lab." The Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, VP Academic Affairs, and WEA enthusiastically support this request.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: none

RECOMMENDATION: President Farley recommends that the Mass Media lab be named the "Stauffer Mass Media Lab."
