Online Faculty Checklist
Faculty interested in teaching an online course for the
first time should follow these steps:

Print the Development
and Support Request Form (.pdf file, see PDF
Assistance).
Complete the form and submit it to the Distance
Education subcommittee of the ETC. Development and Support Requests are
due by the third week of September.

Receive approval from the subcommittee if seeking a stipend or reassigned
time to develop the online course.

Request a "kickoff meeting" with representatives from Online Education:
Continuing Education, Library Services, Instructional Media, and WebTech
Support. Contact Tim Peterson,
Director of Continuing Ed., to schedule a meeting.

Receive WebCT Training. Check the Faculty
Training Sign-up to see when the next WebCT Training sessions will
be offered. If no classes are currently offered, or if you need immediate
training, please contact a WebTech (webtech@washburn.edu).

Complete the WebCT
Course Creation Request Form and submit it.
