The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m.

Ron Wasserstein welcomed everyone and passed around an attendance sheet. He asked the members to indicate which subcommittee they would like to join. Members introduced themselves.

The first order was to receive the minutes dated 9-19 and 10-2-02 from the Distance Learning Subcommittee.

REPORTS

David Bainum gave an update on the installations for various projects on campus, including new servers and future server installations.

Sue Jarchow gave an update on the status of Web Services and User Services. She passed out statistical information about Washburn's on-line classes, statistics about daily web site hits, and a general policy for computer usage.

Brenda White gave an update on Instructional Media projects and handed out a list of rooms to be mediated this year. She also talked about the Digital Media Lab that was funded by the ETC. It will be headed up by Rod Brown and is located in HC 17. An open house will be planned for the future.

Bob Stoller gave an update on the AIS project status.

Ron asked that if the members have comments about future technology or anything else, to send them to him within the next 7 days via email and he will forward them to the committee.

The members of the Computer Subcommittee were asked to stay and elect a new chair. Debbie Isaacson was elected as chair.

The meeting adjourned at 4:50 p.m.
