a campus-wide networked computing environment and common communications
system capable of distributing video, data and audio anywhere on campus
and to the Internet

video-ready high resolution color workstations, data storage and transfer
devices, and printers in sufficient quantity to meet student, faculty and
staff access demands
-
appropriate system and application software with appropriate hardware platforms
with systematic maintenance and replacement
-
sufficient human resources to provide support for the software and hardware,
especially for user training, system administration and hardware maintenance
-
high-speed Internet connectivity
-
dial-up phone lines and modems in reasonable quantities to meet student,
faculty and staff access demands
-
TV studio/classroom with terminal equipment to distribute instructional
programming to remote sites
-
a student and financial information system that is readily accessible by
staff, students and faculty, and capable of supporting the needs of such
areas as the Business Office, Registrar, Alumni Association and Development
while providing access, functionality and security of appropriate information
with existing and emerging technologies.
