Tim Peterson provided a brief update on the PLAN 2+2 programs and courses. Several committee members mentioned that all faculty and staff should be aware of the online and distance education courses offered by Washburn.
There was a brief discussion of how it might be possible to minimize the number of user ids and passwords students need to access online courses, library materials, and other services. The Mabee Library and ACC staff agreed to explore this issue.
The committee reviewed a few of the online course proposals, but agreed that it could not offer much assistance with the proposals. Rather, the committee emphasized the need for planning and evaluation of online courses and programs.
Peterson encouraged the committee members to send him any questions, concerns, or suggestions they might have on the proposed salary schedule for teaching online and distance education courses that was distributed at the previous meeting.
