VISION STATEMENT
Information technology is transforming the way the world operates and the educational landscape reflects that transformation. Making optimal use of technological resources both inside and outside the classroom will make our University an active and collaborative community for teaching, learning, discovery, and exploration. Students will benefit from this rich learning environment as we prepare them for their careers and life-long learning.

Washburn University seeks to make available to the entire Washburn community a robust, reliable and adaptable technological infrastructure that provides the basis for a rich learning environment. Information technology will be readily available to all students, faculty, and staff through ubiquitous network services and up-to-date equipment in classrooms, computer labs, residences and offices. Integration of technology and multimedia in the classroom will be facilitated by support and training and enriched through a wide variety of electronic communication tools that enhance the face-to-face interaction between faculty and students.
