The travel expense report spreadsheet has been updated to add an employee certification for situations where a conference registration fee includes membership in the sponsoring organization. The certification is that to the best of the employee's knowledge, the organization does not violate the University's non-discrimination policies.

The "paycheck scenario planner" spreadsheet has been updated to reflect changes in the federal tax brackets for 2008. This spreadsheet is available for employees to see the impact of changing various withholdings and deductions on their net pay. NOTE: this spreadsheet is very specific to Washburn and is not suitable for use for other employers. Results generated by the spreadsheet are for illustrative purposes only, and the employee is responsible for all risks of using the spreadsheet. Be sure to read the disclaimer on the spreadsheet.

Two new forms and one revised form are now available. The new forms are a cash fund increase request and a cash fund custodial record; the revised form is the payment voucher form. The revision to the payment voucher form adds "Hold for pick up in Bus. Ofc." as a delivery option.
The latest Finance and Business Office news is available via an RSS feed. RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" -- it's a format for distributing and gathering content from sources across the Web, including newspapers, magazines, and blogs. News aggregators (also called news readers) will download and display RSS feeds for you. A number of free and commercial news aggregators are available for download. Popular news readers include Feed Demon, Google Reader, NewsGator, and Feedreader. In addition, many e-mail programs, including Mozilla Thunderbird, have the ability to subscribe to RSS feeds.
