Vice
President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Robin Bowen
Robin Bowen was named Vice President for Academic Affairs in July 2007. Prior to joining Washburn, she was the founding dean of the School of Graduate and Professional Studies at Rockhurst University, Kansas City, Mo. She joined the Rockhurst occupational therapy faculty in 1992 and in 1998 was named associate dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Prior to Rockhurst, Bowen was a member of the faculty at Kansas University Medical Center and Texas Tech University.
She holds a bachelor of science in occupational therapy from the University of Kansas, a master of education in rehabilitation counseling from the University of Arkansas and a doctorate of education in higher education from Texas Tech University.
Her professional affiliations and activities include the Council of Graduate Schools and the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. Bowen is a five-time recipient of the American Occupational Therapy Association Service Award and was designated a Fellow in 1997. In 1996 she was presented the Missouri Governor's Excellence in Teaching Award and during her career received several awards for teaching excellence from The University of Kansas and the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

Vice
President for Administration and Treasurer, Wanda B. Hill
Wanda Hill became
only the fourth chief fiscal officer of Washburn University in 60 years
in September, 1999. Previously she had served as director of finance and
administration (treasurer) for Southern California Regional Rail Authority
(Metrolink), in Los Angeles. Other positions have included executive director
of the California State
University Dominguez
Hills Foundation, assistant vice chancellor for business and financial
affairs at the The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and senior associate
vice president for business and finance at Clemson University.
Ms. Hill received
a bachelor of business administration degree and master of business administration
degree from Valdosta State University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Ms. Hill's responsibilities include management and development of Washburn's
operating budget, supervision of all fiscal areas, administrative and
academic computing, campus physical facilities, campus police, human resources,
memorial union and auxiliary enterprises.

Vice
President for Student Life, Dr. Denise C. Ottinger
Since arriving at
Washburn University in January 2000, Dr. Ottinger has been responsible
for invigorating services and the campus environment for students. She
is responsible for the operation of the new Living Learning Center. Other
responsibilities include Dean of Students functions, Student Activities,
Student Services, Multicultural Affairs, and Student Health Services.
Dr. Ottinger was
previously dean of students at West Shore Community College,
Scottville,
Mich., vice president of student affairs at Northwest Missouri State University,
and held positions at Bowling Green State University, Austin Peay State
University, Saginaw Valley State College and Western Michigan,
Dr. Ottinger has
a bachelors degree in English, a master's in college student personnel
and a Ph.D. in higher education administration, all from Bowling Green
State University.
