The Political Science Department administers the two degrees of political science (BS), and public administration (BPA), and also the Certificate of Nonprofit Management (see also the Department of Human Services), and Geography courses.
The Department of Political Science offers the Bachelor's in Political Science which seeks to prepare well-rounded students who understand politics and policies and pre-law in the United States, in nations and politics around the world, and international affairs. The BS in Political Sciences is for those who plan to go on to graduate or professional school or public employment. The Department also offers three majors in the Bachelor of Public Administration degree (Public & Nonprofit Management, Environment & Natural Resources Management, and Economic & Community Development, and also offers the Certificate of Nonprofit Management. These programs are for those most interested in public sector employment in governments and nonprofit agencies.
