The curricula for the Master of Liberal Studies, the Certificate in Military and Strategic Studies and the minor in Military and Strategic Studies consist of interrelated courses presented in a balanced mix of seminars and lectures, drawing from not only the area of Military and Strategic Studies, but also from other disciplines such as History, Political Science, Sociology, and Criminal Justice. Courses are structured to emphasize active learning, the curriculum frequently employs the case-study method, complemented by extensive student readings, written and oral presentations, classroom analysis, lectures by faculty members, and prominent outside authorities, and field study opportunities.
