The curriculum offered in Anthropology is designed to: (1) provide a basis for later professional or graduate training; (2) satisfy the needs of the student, major or nonmajor, who is interested in a broad liberal arts education; and (3) provide training for students who intend to seek immediate employment in occupations that utilize an anthropological background. The department attempts to plan a program to meet the needs of each student. We recommend that prospective majors and minors consult with program advisors as early as possible. Requirements for graduation are explained below.
