The Minor

 

 


An Art minor consisting of 18 credit hours can be constructed in any of our focus areas of History, Digital Design, Photography, Printmaking, Painting or 3-Dimensional Design. Student must first meet with an advisor to select both foundation courses and electives, including 6 hours upper division, and then present to the Chair individual course selections chosen for the minor. The chair must "sign off" on the minor upon completion of the selected courses.

EXAMPLES OF MINORS

Minor in Photography/Electronic Art
The minor consists of 18 hours. AR 120 or 121, AR 223, 12 hours of electives from the following list: AR 229, 251, 320, 321, 322, 325, 326, 327, 328, 351, 399, (special topics in Photography/Electronic Art), 426.

Minor in Art History
The minor consists of 18 hours. AR 101, 102, and 142 required, 9 hours of electives from the catalog list of Art History courses 300-310.
