THE PROGRAM
This program leads to a Bachelor of Health Science (BHS) in Medical Imaging.
This option has been established for graduates of Radiologic Technology
and Respiratory Therapy.
There is an increasing need for qualified medical imaging technologists.
The completion of a Baccalaureate degree with advanced imaging credentials
make graduates even more marketable. The medical imaging option allows
students to choose from two concentrations: Diagnostic Medical Sonography
(30 credit hours), there are three areas of concentration which leads
to a certificate in either Cardiac, Vascular, or General Sonography; Radiation
Therapy (35 credit hours). To be eligible for admission, a candidate
must be a graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program and
possess the professional designation of RT(R).
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
This program has special admission requirements. In addition to an Associate's
degree in Radiologic Technology or Respiratory Therapy, other healthcare
disciplines may be considered on an individual basis. Interested students
should contact the Allied Health Department for specific requirements.
MEDICAL IMAGING
Degree requirements for the Bachelor of Health Science:
