The American Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada recommends that pre-seminary studies place emphasis on a liberal arts program. Washburn University makes available also the recommended courses in Religion to ensure familiarity with that field. A suggested pre-seminary course of study with a major in Philosophy or Religious Studies may be obtained from the Philosophy Department.
