The Political Science Department administers the two degrees of political science (BA), and public administration (BPA), and also the Certificate of Non-Profit Management (see also the Department of Human Services), and Geography courses. The Department of Political Science offers the Bachelor's in Political Science (B.A.) which seeks to prepare well-rounded students who understand politics and policies and pre-law in the United States, in nations and politics around the world, and international affairs. The BA in Political Sciences is for those who plan to go on to graduate or professional school or public employment. The Department also offers three majors in the Bachelor of Public Administration degree:
We also offer the Certificate of Non-Profit Management. These public administration programs are for those most interested in public sector employment in governments and non-profit agencies. The BPA degree in Public and Non-Profit Management, and the Certificate of Non-Profit Management (which is available to any major or working person) are among the first programs of their kind in the nation, to train individuals in the fast-growing field of the Management of Non-Profit Agencies, as well as traditional Government employment. For additional information on the three majors of the Bachelor of Public
Administration, and the Certificate of Non-Profit Management, see Public
Administration. |
