Welcome to Washburn! The Residential Living Staff and hundreds of volunteers from across campus help you move into your new on-campus home. Check-in starts at 9:00 a.m. and continues all day.

Do you consider yourself an adult learner? If so, join us in the Mabee Library for an information session and social gathering designed just for you. You will join others who are starting college for the first time, returning to complete a degree or professional certificate, exploring interests for personal growth, and/or re-entering college life after military service. We will briefly discuss campus and academic resources that will aid in your transition to Washburn. Most importantly, you will meet fellow adult learners as well as Washburn faculty and staff who are here to support you.

Washburn University and the First-Year Experience program welcome you to campus! Along with alumni, faculty, staff, and the Topeka community, you are invited to attend Traditions Night. Joined by the Ichabod football team, Dancing Blues, the University Marching Band and coaches, the Ichabod community will gather to learn or get reacquainted with the fight song, cheers, alma mater and much more. It will be a great way to welcome you to Washburn as you wrap up your first day of class as an Ichabod!
