ResultsThe 2013 Fun Run and Campus Walk will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 28, 2013. The cost for walkers is $20, while the cost for runners in the 5K is $25. Children 12 and under can participate for free. Same-day registration for the event is an additional $5 per competitor. Register for the event.
More than 160 people participated in the Alumni Association’s Scholarship Fun Run/Walk on Sept. 29, 2012. More than 90 runners and 70 walkers arrived early on a crisp Saturday morning at Bradbury Thompson Alumni Center for the event.
Net proceeds from the event will benefit the Alumni Association’s scholarship fund, a source of revenue for many Washburn students.
For the 2012-13 academic year, 83 students received more than $29,000 in scholarships. Special consideration is given to children of alumni, returning alumni and students who are members of the Washburn Alumni Association.
