Every year we honor our 50-, 60- and 70-year graduates during commencement weekend. The event this year is scheduled to begin with a reunion at 2 p.m. May 10 at the Bradbury Thompson Alumni Center. The cost for the event is $15 per person, which includes a social, reunion dinner and walking at commencement.
Several longtime Ichabods joined us on May 11-12, 2012, to celebrate their 50-, 60- and 70-year reunion. If you're celebrating your 50-, 60- or 70-year reunion in 2013, please plan to join us. The 50-, 60- and 70-year graduates who attended the reunion enjoyed a social, catching up with former classmates before watching a sesquicentennial video on the first 50 years of Washburn. The Alumni Association hosted the event at the Convocation Hall in the Bradbury Thompson Alumni Center.
The graduates joined us on May 11 in the Washburn Room at the Memorial Union for a complimentary dinner, where they were reacquainted with classmates and met President Jerry Farley, university deans, Washburn administration and this year’s honorary degree recipients.
The graduates were honored during Washburn’s commencement ceremony. We provided them with a special alumni gown, then they walked with the graduating class of 2012 and received an anniversary medallion.
