The Washburn Alumni Association was organized in 1885 to advance the mutual interests of the alumni and the college.

Housed in the Bradbury Thompson Center, one of Washburn's most beautiful facilities, the purpose of the Washburn Alumni Association is to nurture and support the relationship between alumni and the University, keep alumni informed regarding University activities, and bring alumni together to promote fellowship and serve our alma mater.

Today, the Association reaches out to approximately 39,000 alumni living in all 50 states and several foreign countries. Two thirds of Washburn's alumni live in Kansas. Half of those who live in Kansas reside in Shawnee County. More than 3,000 alumni are proud members of the Alumni Association.
