Committees


imageSpecial Events
The Special Events Committee is responsible for the planning of the Homecoming parade, the Big Switch, and the Brewster Place event in February. It also has a Traditions sub-committee, and is responsible for year-round efforts of the SAAB to educate students about Washburn's past; including planning the Traditions program at New Student Oriendtation in August and Washburn's Birthday party on February 6th. The committee consists of several SAAB members appointed by the President.

Alumni Relations
In charge of all SAAB activities dealing with alumni relations, this committee also runs the mentorship program as well as being host to the Ichabod Pride sub-committee, responsible for researching and suggesting benefits for the Ichabod Pride program.

imageMembership Recruitment
Responsible for for coordinating recruitment, interviews, elections, and reviewing membership. The recruitment committee responsible for planning all social activities for the SAAB, including the New member retreat in September, and the end of the semester social meetings. It also has a public relations sub-committee; responsible for all SAAB and Ichabod Pride press releases, publications and maintenance of the websites. The Fundraising sub-committee also is under membership, responsible for planning and carrying out all fundraiding for SAAB.
