Web Conferencing
The Office of Academic Outreach coordinates the use of the Washburn University web conferencing system. Up to 50 connections may join a Dimdim web conference, which can deliver live presentations, whiteboards, web pages, voice and video over the Internet with no download required for the participants. Voice and video presentations require the use of a webcam.
WU faculty and staff who wish to schedule a web conference must complete and submit a request form via the first link below. AO will confirm the request and schedule the conference. First time users will also need to schedule a brief demo/test of the system and should review the Dimdim Quick Reference Guide and User Guide at the links below prior to the system demo/test.
Subsequent to completing the request and system demo/test, the conference host simply needs to log into the WU Dimdim account a few minutes before the conference at www.dimdim.com, log into the WU account, find the scheduled meeting, and click the Start link in the My Meetings panel.
