2012 marks the sixth year of the annual Ad Astra AP* Summer Institutes. Last year nearly 300 AP teachers from twenty states participated in the institutes and went away with lots of new ideas and strategies to improve their AP* courses.
Unless noted otherwise, all of the 2012 AP* Summer Institutes listed below are open to both new and experienced AP* teachers. Each institute will last 30 hours (the tentative schedule is 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Thursday). The fee for each institute is $575 and includes all AP* materials, refreshments and lunches Monday through Thursday.
Early registration is encouraged as each institute is limited to 30 participants. Registrations must be made by July 2, 2012, or there will be an additional $50 late fee.
Cancellations made prior to June 15 will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be made after that date, but school districts may submit teacher substitutions until July 9, 2012. Washburn and USD #233 do not endorse nor promote any single resource or AP* exam support information distributed by publishing companies during the institutes.
Registration will open on January 23
