Professional Development Hours

The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) established the Continuing Education Unit (CEU) as a measurement of continuing education that is equal to ten nominal contact hours or professional development hours (PDH). Some professional associations or regulatory boards have a different measurement of their CEU. The Joint Center on Violence and Victim Studies offers a certificate of attendance for contact or professional development hours associated with its programs. As a university-based program, this verification by the JCVVS should be recognized by regulatory bodies for award of CEU's. Individuals may be required to submit additional information, such as learning objectives, course outline, or other materials. The JCVVS may be contacted if additional verification of hours is needed.
