SHRM PHR/SPHR Certification Course

The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification is a comprehensive, advanced level program for human resources professionals and experienced managers who need a thorough understanding of human resource issues, laws, and trends. Topic areas include strategic management, workforce planning, resource development, compensation and benefits, labor relations, and occupational health, safety and security. For individuals planning on taking the PHR/SPHR certification exam, the course helps in preparation through organization of studies, providing a broad range of study material, and highlighting critical areas of emphasis.

The course is scheduled for six full days approximately every other week from 8:30a.m. to 4:15p.m. with a lunch break for total instruction time of six contact hours per day. A three hour orientation session is offered prior to the course to review course expectations, discuss exam requirements, and to distribute the SHRM Learning Systems text. Attendance at this orientation session is strongly encouraged. Registrants who do not attend the orientation session are responsible for getting the materials from Academic Outreach. The base course fee is $1,375.
