The Kansas Correctional Association Student Chapter hosts John Lampe, business administrator for Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility at 12:15 p.m. Lampe will speak about his 13 years in the prison system in Benton Hall, Room 301.

WSGA's Race to the Finish presents Dog Day of Finals! The huge hit of last semester is back with even more dogs and now cats, too, from Helping Hands Humane Society. If the weather is good, get some puppy love from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Union lawn. In the case of bad weather, the event will be in the all purpose room at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center.
The Washburn Alumni Association hosts After Hours from 5-7 p.m. at the Bradbury Thompson Alumni Center. The social costs $5 for non-members and is free to members.

Washburn Tech's first-of-its-kind Recycled Rides program will present a vehicle to a deserving family at 9:30 a.m. on the south lawn of the Kansas Capitol. The car, donated by a Washburn employee, was repaired during a Repair-a-thon weekend in April.
From 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Washburn Tech hosts it 14th annual Car Show, Fair and Barbecue. The event is a fundraiser for the Washburn Tech Care Closet. At the fair, test your skill at the Heavy Equipment Rodeo, enjoy a dunk tank, photo booth, a car bash -- yes, you can bash a car -- or three-on-three basketball. The Recycled Rides project will give a deserving family a car at 9:30 a.m. that day.
