Degree Program Information
The chief concern of Anthropology is to understand culture, a people's total way of life. The focus has been on preliterate and tribal cultures.
Sociology is the study of social life and social change, especially in industrial and postindustrial societies.
Both anthropology and sociology emphasize the external causees of behavior.
Degrees Offered:

-- B.A. in Sociology
Minors are also available in both disciplines

Degree Requirements for Minors:
Anthropology
The minor in Anthropology consists of 15 credit hours. AN 112 (Cultural Anthropology) is required, along with 12 other hours, 6 hours of which have to be upper division.
Sociology
The minor in Sociology consists of 15 credit hours. SO 100 (Introduction to Sociology) is required, along with 12 other hours, 6 hours of which have to be upper division.
