Public Library		New "Chandler Pavilion" is located in a small triangular park space between streets just south of the Topeka-Shawnee County Public Library -- incorporates parts from old County Court House			Huge old cottonwood tree grows in a private yard at 16th and Collins.

This row of rooms along 10th St. is rental property. I don't know the name, but they are rented as apartments. My dad says that shortly after WWII they were the only space available for rent in town.

Our famous neon Jayhawk sign, atop the Jayhawk Tower, formerly the Jayhawk Hotel. This is the old Pelletier's Building. It once housed downtown's Pelletier's Department Store. Now it has state offices. Holiday Park Fountain This restored fountain was installed in Holiday Park, 12th St. at Western Ave., just south of the Devon Apartment building. This fountain was originally given to the city long ago by the national Humane Society. It was originally at 6th and Quincy, put there to water horses, dogs, cats and birds. The fountain began running at Holiday Park in summer 2002. The Holiday Park area has an active neighborhood association. Topekans crowded the north side of the capitol building to view Clydesdale closely Kansas capitol dome as seen from the Abe Lincoln statue on the statehouse grounds. Renovated and expanded, the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library celebrated Grand Opening in Jan. 2002 Scaffolding came off and Ad Astra stood tal in February 2003. Kanza Indian statue has been placed on the state capitol dome. Interstate interchange near the Kansas History Center. North Topeka's Great Overland Station--a train museum in the making. The capitol building peaks between businesses at 9th and Kansas Ave. The sun is setting in the west, behind the capitol dome. Liberty Building, front entrance, W. 6th St. This was once a Potawatomi Indian Mission. Now it is a part of the Kansas History Center. Exterior. The stone part was built earliest.	New wrought iron enhances the exterior.	Kitchen area.	Parts are now businesses. Parts will be museum.	Narrow needles point upward to ward off pigeon-rousting. Bet it works!!	Owned by Historic Topeka and recently restored.
