| Early Summer. A bike ride along the Shunga Nature Trail and a left turn onto a gravel path from the cement sidewalk taks the rider to a wetland area. Bullfrogs sing, unseen, in voices deep enough to be an elephant trumpeting behind those reeds. | Creatures hop into the mossy water before an eye can spot them. Only a "plop" noise hints of a frog or a toad in the area. The sun sets, the camera is tucked away, but there is plenty of light to pedal swiftly home on this evening, July 1, 2006. |
