I had time on our last day in Canada (Monday) to take a walk through downtown.

Although Calgary is a big city, it was very quiet on the Monday after Canada's Thanksgiving holiday. There were very few people downtown. All stores were closed. There was little-to- no traffic.
Walking through downtown was fun. They have an eleborate rail transporation system, although it was not in use. I enjoyed figures of horses galloping in a public park. Another park had bear sculpture, a pond, and water running over rocks.
Trip home took us back through Dallas. Got to Wamego about 2 a.m. and stayed over before returning to Topeka. |
