The first stop we made on
our trip was for lunch in Wellington, south of Wichita.
This small community had a fun diner, called "Penny's Place." Max
ate the Blue Plate Special, which was beef and noodles.
 
Gasoline prices seemed high
in Great Bend (Highway 56)--for March 2000..
