Goin' home we stopped to admire the Doniphan County courthouse in the town square of Troy, Kansas. This far northestern Kansas county is amazingly hilly and rolly--and beautiful in fall weather with clear blue skies.

Having lived for 13 years in Wisconsin, I felt right at home in Doniphan County.
The wonderful wood-carved Indian totem next to the Doniphan courthouse was carved by Peter Toth and dedicated 9-29-1979. Tall!!
