Leota's family worked dilligently to gather photos of Leota's life and family to make a photo quilt for her eightieth birthday. While the quilt project was a group effort, much of the work was done by Leota's daughter Phyllis Gish, who was ill with the flu and could not attend the birthday party.
The quilt includes photos of Leota as a child, including photos of her parents and older brother, who died as a young man. Other photos include Leota's wedding to Bill Martin in 1946, photos of children and grandchildren. This piece is a beautiful heirloom, to be treasured.
