Big Sale

Mary Martin had a big heart. At her estate sale, held on a mild Sunday in early November 2001, bidders were amazed at the many things Mary had collected over her lifetime. Spread out on the lawn were rows of Christmas decorations, other holiday mementos, porcelain figurines, dolls, craft and quilting items, furniture, glass, books and toys.

At Christmas, Mary had had a decorated tree in every room of her home.
At the auction the Christmas items spread in two full rows across the backyard.
The mix of other items spread out upon the lawns were equally impressive.
