Martin Country, Memorial Weekend Visit, Jackson County, KS, May, 2013

Family roots are in Jackson Co., KS

The Martin farm was acerage in the SE corner of the county, bordering both Jefferson and Shawnee Counties.

Generations of Martins are buried in the Muddy Creek Cemetery, the Meriden Cemetery, and in Steward Cemetery (Steward is resting spot for six generations of Martin men.

SE Kansas is NOT flat. It is a treat to drive gravel roads out to rural Jackson County at Memorial Day weekend and decorate the graves of people we love.

R.I.P. Martin relatives!
