blank Hill story
-- a story about Chris and Lewis

A neighbor of the Martin's was Doc Rippetoe, the vet for the area.
Once he was driving north on the county road in front of the Martin place and met another car at the crest of the big hill. Both cars swerved to avoid one another and both cars climbed the road banks at the sides of the road in an attempt to avoid an accident.

As a result, Doc's car tipped so far to the left that the vehicle laid over onto the driver's side. Chris and Lewis, the two oldest Martin boys, came out onto the road and helped tip Doc's vehicle upright once more.

Doc then climbed aboard and headed on toward his home, little worse for wear.
